Dee Dickens likes words and sometimes she uses their power for good. A neurodivergent, queer, black, woman adjacent person, she tells stories about the things no one else does in a way that gives no quarter and takes no prisoners.
Dee has two previous collections which deal in turn with being a woman and trauma related mental health issues. She has also published a memoir about her phone sex work. Dee loves to perform poetry and compete, having lead a team to victory in UniSlam 2021 and winning her National Oooh Behive Slam heat. She also recently performed at the Edinburgh Free Fringe Festival as part of the CandleLit Sessions.
About to start a PhD in Poetry, she lives on a mountain with her family and shedding familiars. She is very fond of ribs
