At Whisky & Beards, we’re always looking for ways to strengthen the poetry community, as well as ways to innovate the image of poetry.
With this in mind, we are proud to announce the first Kent Poetry Championship Belt.
This leather-and-metal belt will be defended at poetry events around Kent, with our first champion being crowned at our upcoming Bookie Slam on May 6th, headlined by Salena Godden as part of The Margate Bookie.
The inaugural champion will be crowned in a traditional style slam. That means audience judges, time limits and one final champion who will be able to parade with the belt.
